On Friday, June 7, the graduates of the Faculty of Society and Economics at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences experienced a moving afternoon. The Dean of the Faculty of Society and Economics, Prof. Dr. Ralf Klapdor, welcomed 73 graduates as well as their families and friends to a graduation ceremony that was marked by numerous speeches and honors.
In his brief welcome address, Prof. Dr. Ralf Klapdor spoke directly to the new graduates: “Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences and the Faculty of Society and Economics are proud of you!” Prof. Dr. Tatiana Zimenkova, Vice President for International Affairs and Diversity, also spoke of the importance of this milestone in her speech and praised the graduates' achievements.
A special highlight of the event was the presentation of the Katjes Prize, which is endowed with 1,000 euros. This award honors the best theses of the Faculty of Society and Economics of the current year.
