Adventures in the Sauerland: experiencing sports and adventure tourism

As part of the "Sustainable Tourism" course, our students had the opportunity to explore the beautiful German Sauerland region. In the "Sport and Adventure Tourism" course, they gained exciting insights into key topics such as the effects of climate change on winter sports areas, sustainability at big events and innovative sustainable catering concepts.

The aim of the module was to provide students with in-ground knowledge in the field of sports and adventure tourism. A particular focus was placed on the intensive examination of sustainability in these areas. These theoretical principles were brought to life through practical examples, with students planning and implementing group activities on their own. The aim of the excursion was to raise awareness of sustainability and to deepen the practical application of the content taught in the lectures.
