Germany Scholarship

The Germany Scholarship (Deutschlandstipendium) provides financial support to highly talented and motivated students, regardless of origin, who are continuing or beginning their studies at a German university. At the same time, the Germany Scholarship also recognises students’ outstanding social involvement and other personal achievements.

The Germany Scholarship is awarded in the form of a 300 EUR monthly stipend, for a total of 3,600 EUR per year. Half of the scholarship is financed by private donations raised by the University, while the other half is financed publicly by the German government. Scholarships are awarded for at least one year at a time. Students can apply for a Germany Scholarship or an extension during the annual application period starting in May. Scholarship winners are chosen by an official selection committee of the University.

In addition to providing helpful financial support, the Germany Scholarship promotes the continuous exchange of ideas between scholarship students and private sponsors to the mutual benefit of both the scientific community and industry. Businesses are given the chance to introduce themselves to a new generation of future specialists and inspire them early on in their professional careers. Students benefit from a growing network of contacts, which can lead to collaborative opportunities in the future, for example on a practice-based thesis or project. Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences is committed to promoting and strengthening these ties further with a growing range of social and professional events offered throughout the scholarship year.
