Wie kann die Versorgung von Menschen mit Unterstützungsbedarf in einer alternden Gesellschaft langfristig verlässlich, menschlich und wirtschaftlich tragfähig gestaltet werden – gerade in strukturell herausgeforderten Regionen wie den Kreisen Wesel oder Kleve? Mit dieser Frage startete die Workshop-Reihe „Leben mit Unterstützungsbedarf am Niederrhein 2035“, initiiert vom "Zentrum für Assistive Technologien Rhein-Ruhr (ZAT)" in Kooperation mit dem Forschungsschwerpunkt "CASPAR – Assistenz und Teilhabe" der Hochschule Rhein-Waal.

The recent company evening in Kamp-Lintfort, hosted at the Sparkasse Duisburg, provided a platform for meaningful dialogue between research and industry. Focused on sustainability, the event addressed both the opportunities and challenges this critical topic presents - an issue of growing importance for the region and its future.

A full auditorium, great atmosphere and plenty to celebrate: on 10 October, the Faculty of Communication and Environment bid farewell to its graduates during a festive ceremony on the Kamp-Lintfort Campus.

Leen Skaf, Lysander Trapp and Mika Günther have successfully completed the renowned Fab Academy. At the FabLab in Kamp-Lintfort, they developed their own projects in digital fabrication – ranging from 3D printing and CNC milling to electronics design. In recognition of their achievements, they were invited to the international FabX 2025 conference in the Czech Republic, where MIT Professor Neil Gershenfeld personally presented them with their diplomas.
