One of the old spring rites of the Lower Rhine region is raising the maypole. The stake is lifted in celebration of the coming summer and the renewal of biological life. Such a tree has a tradition in other cultures as well. In order to celebrate the diverse significance of such a tree and to combine it with the diversity of the university, a maypole has now been erected on the Klever campus. More

Whether HSRW-newcomer or HSRW-veteran: President Dr. Oliver Locker-Grütjen welcomes all students digitally to the summer semester 2021. In the third semester under Corona conditions, he encourages the students to see the current challenges also as an opportunity. An opportunity to be "crisis-proof", flexible and resilient for the future obstacles. Nevertheless, he is already looking forward to a reunion on campus as soon as possible. More

On their Instagram profile, they share how clothes are produced, how this affects people and the environment, and what to look out for when buying sustainable clothing. The global Fashion Revolution Week initiative has been held every April since 2014 to draw attention to conditions in the fashion industry. More
