As part of the nationwide Girls’ Day on 28 April, the Faculty of Technology and Bionics is offering a workshop on programming in collaboration with the zdi Centre in the Kleve district. Using Arduino boards, participants will learn both soldering and programming, thereby gaining an insight into electrical engineering. Registration and further information .
In this workshop, we’ll learn the basics of programming and put them into practice on an Arduino board. Arduinos are small electronic boards with software; we’ll start by assembling and soldering them, and then programme them to act as a window alarm, for example. Participants can take their finished projects home and use what they’ve learnt to continue programming them or create new programmes independently.
The event will take place in person on the Kleve campus from 10.30 am to 2.30 pm. Prior to this, the Central Student Advisory Service is organising a central kick-off session between 9.00 am and 10.30 am (Lecture Theatre Centre, Lecture Theatre 2).
