In accordance with Section 17(3), first sentence, of the Higher Education Act (HG), the selection of each member of the Executive Board is prepared by a selection committee. Pursuant to Section 17(3), first sentence, of the Higher Education Act (HG) in conjunction with Section 7a(2) of the Basic Regulations of Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences (GrundO), the selection committee shall consist of four members of the Board of Governors and four members of the Senate. Members from the Senate may not be members of the Executive Board; at least one member from the Senate must belong to the group of university lecturers. The term of office of the members of the Selection Committee ends with their term of office as a member of the Board of Governors or as a member of the Senate.
In accordance with Section 7(3) of the GrundO, the University Electoral Assembly has a quorum if more than half of the voting members of the Senate and the external members of the Board of Governors are present.
Pursuant to the Rules of Procedure of the University Electoral Assembly of Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences dated 20 November 2024, meetings of the University Electoral Assembly, including the presentation of candidates, are in principle open only to the university community (Section 12(2), first sentence, of the Higher Education Act in conjunction with Section 3(1) of the Rules of Procedure). Invitations to the University Electoral Assembly will therefore no longer be published on this page in future.
