Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences is committed to providing young people with an innovative, interdisciplinary and international education. The majority of the bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes on offer – around 75 per cent – are taught in English. A total of 6,200 students from more than 120 countries study together at the campuses in Kleve and Kamp-Lintfort. The range of courses on offer covers a wide variety of subjects: from natural sciences, economics, engineering and computer science, through logistics and design, to social sciences, humanities and health sciences.
The high proportion of practical work in the degree programmes, intercultural exchange and first-class teaching – which takes place in small groups and modern, well-equipped laboratories – provide students with the best possible preparation for the national and international labour market.
The university was founded in 2009 and is based on the left bank of the Lower Rhine, where it has two campuses: the Kleve campus near the Dutch border, and the Kamp-Lintfort campus, some 60 km away on the outskirts of the Ruhr region.
Through its programme of lectures and events, Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences also caters to businesses, schools and members of the public, offering a wide range of insights into everyday university life, the degree programmes and current lectures on topics relating to society, health and the economy.
