Activities, objectives and focus of content
The joint activities include, amongst other things:
- Student and staff mobility
- international research projects
- the development of innovative internationalisation formats
There is a particular focus on digital and collaborative teaching and learning formats, such as the multilateral Virtual Exchange programme.
Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences is an active member of this network and is continuously engaged in exchanges with international partner universities.
Within the framework of the network, Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences pursues the following objectives in particular:
- Strengthening international partnerships
through sustainable collaboration with the network’s partner universities and associated institutions worldwide - Promoting virtual mobility
as a complement to traditional physical exchange formats - Developing international and intercultural skills
for students and university staff
Virtual mobility opens up new opportunities for international collaboration: students can learn and work alongside international partners – regardless of their location, financial circumstances or individual mobility constraints.
Virtual Exchange is a key component of The Hague Network. Students collaborate digitally with international partner universities and gain intercultural experience in a virtual environment.
This form of international mobility enables students to learn and work together with fellow students from other countries – regardless of their location, financial circumstances or individual mobility restrictions.
As a complement to traditional study abroad programmes, Virtual Exchange provides flexible access to international and global learning.
