You can only apply for Bachelor’s degree programmes in the Winter semester.
For Master’s degree programmes, applications are accepted for both the summer and winter semesters.
Where you submit your application depends on where you obtained your University entrance qualification (UEQ):
- Do you have a German school-leaving certificate or university degree? If so, you should apply via the Application portal of Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences.
- Did you obtain your school leaving certificate or university entrance qualification outside Germany? If so, you should apply via uni-assist.
The flowchart shows you step by step how the application process at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences works.
Before you apply, we recommend you complete our online self-assessment. This will help you find out whether a degree programme is a good fit for you and what to expect during your studies.
Proof of completion of the online self-assessment is mandatory for the following degree programmes:
- Engineering, B.Sc.
- Engineering for Sustainability, B.Sc.
The following degree programmes have their own self-assessments:
If you obtained your University entrance qualification (UEQ) outside Germany, you must apply via uni-assist.
Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences works with uni-assist to ensure that international applications can be assessed.
Whether you meet the requirements for studying in Germany depends on:
- the country in which you obtained your school-leaving qualification
- what qualifications or study experience you already have
You can also find an initial assessment of your qualification on the uni-assist website.
If you are applying for a degree programme with restricted admission and meet all the requirements, your application will also be included in the selection process.
