Library account & Login

Shibboleth is a secure login procedure for web services that uses distributed authentication and authorisation.

If you wish to access your library account or electronic resources in the PLUS catalogue, please log in using your university ID for authentication. If you require access to the library’s licensed databases and electronic full-text resources from outside the university network, you will need to log in via EZproxy.

External users are also issued with university credentials for using Shibboleth, including a default password that must be changed upon first login. New users receive these details automatically in two separate emails the day after registering.

To log in to the PLUS catalogue, you must log in once on a library computer no earlier than the day after registration. After that, you can also view your library account and use the associated services from home. Due to licensing restrictions, it is not possible to access electronic resources outside the university network.

1. Access the desired electronic resource or your library account.
2. Login: Log in using your university ID. Here, you can choose not to have your login details saved.
3. Please read the declaration of consent carefully and either accept or decline it. You may withdraw your consent at any time.
4. Logout: There is no central logout option, and not all services offer a logout function. Please close your browser to prevent others from using your user data.
