Maypole erected on campus in Kleve

One of the old spring rites of the Lower Rhine region is raising the maypole. The stake is lifted in celebration of the coming summer and the renewal of biological life. Such a tree has a tradition in other cultures as well. In order to celebrate the diverse significance of such a tree and to combine it with the diversity of the university, a maypole has now been erected on the Klever campus. More

President welcomes all students to the summer semester 2021

Whether HSRW-newcomer or HSRW-veteran: President Dr. Oliver Locker-Grütjen welcomes all students digitally to the summer semester 2021. In the third semester under Corona conditions, he encourages the students to see the current challenges also as an opportunity. An opportunity to be "crisis-proof", flexible and resilient for the future obstacles. Nevertheless, he is already looking forward to a reunion on campus as soon as possible. More

Fashion Revolution Week

The Fairtrade student group of the HSRW participates in the Fashion Revolution Week from 19.-25.04.2021. On their Instagram profile, they share how clothes are produced, how this affects people and the environment, and what to look out for when buying sustainable clothing. The global Fashion Revolution Week initiative has been held every April since 2014 to draw attention to conditions in the fashion industry. More

Virtual Open Day – getting to know the university on April 29, 2021

Prospective students have the chance of taking a closer look at the Rhine-Waal University at the end of April. We will open our doors digitally to everyone interested in studying in Kleve oder Kamp-Lintfort. Participants can expect general information on application and admission, a virtual campus tour, short presentations by University Music and University Sports. „Verbesserungswürdig“: Ergebnisse der Bürger*innenbefragung über Kommunikationsprozesse und Ehrenamt im Kreis Kleve veröffentlicht

Wie nehmen Bürger*innen im Kreis Kleve Kommunikation und Teilhabe wahr? Das wollten Studierende der Hochschule Rhein-Waal herausfinden. In einer Umfrage unter 1.370 Teilnehmenden fanden sie heraus, dass insbesondere die Kommunikationsprozesse und Bürgerbeteiligung im Kreis Kleve aus Sicht der Befragten verbesserungswürdig erscheinen.
