A Strong Signal for Active Partnership

On May 20, 2025, Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences (HSRW) welcomed a delegation from its long-standing partner institution, Fitchburg State University (FSU), to its Kamp-Lintfort campus. As part of the visit, a well-attended panel discussion on the topic “Partnership in Times of Global Uncertainty” was held. The event also highlighted the enduring sister-city relationship between Kleve and Fitchburg.

Professor Dr Klaus Hegemann re-elected as Dean of the Faculty

The Faculty of Communication and Environment at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences is happy to share that Professor Dr Klaus Hegemann has been re-elected as Dean. The Faculty Council confirmed his reappointment during its meeting on 14 May 2025.

Team Spirit on the Track: Faculty of Communication and Environment at the Rhein-Ruhr Marathon

On Sunday, 18 May 2025, the Faculty of Communication and Environment at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences took part in the half marathon relay event at the 42nd Rhein-Ruhr Marathon in Duisburg with five relay teams.

Focusing on Societal Impact: ENLIGHT Conference Brings Experts Together in Groningen

How can societal impact become a guiding principle for universities? This question was at the heart of the ENLIGHT Impact Conference, held at the University of Groningen at the end of March. Among the participants: Professor Dr Daniela Lud from Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences, who presented the EU-FarmBook project as an example of practice-oriented and participatory university engagement.
