Under the slogan ‘Please do not try this at home’, Prof. Dr. Neil Shirtcliffe and the Student Council of the Faculty of Technology and Bionics invite all interested members of the public to this year’s Christmas lecture on 18 December 2013 at 7 pm in the Lecture Theatre Centre of Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences on the Kleve campus.
Kleve/Kamp-Lintfort, 16 December 2013: Amidst all the Christmas markets and festive celebrations, Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences invites anyone interested to a lecture with a difference. Prof. Dr Neil Shirtcliffe, Professor of Bionics specialising in biomimetic materials at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences, and the Student Council of the Faculty of Technology and Bionics will explain everyday physical and chemical phenomena in a clear and humorous way during the Christmas lecture.
The Christmas lecture is aimed at anyone with an interest in the natural sciences, as well as those who enjoy physics experiments – with the warning: ‘Please do not try this at home’.
The event begins at 6 pm in the Audimax (Lecture Theatre Centre), Building 01, Ground Floor, Room 010, at Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences, where mulled wine will be on sale. The lecture itself will then begin at 7 pm. The lecture is free of charge and will be held in English.
