Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences invites all school pupils, their parents and friends, as well as members of the public, to its Open Day on 21 May 2016 from 11.00 am to 5.00 pm at the Kleve and Kamp-Lintfort campuses.
Kleve/Kamp-Lintfort, 11 May 2016: With its Open Day at the Kleve and Kamp-Lintfort campuses, Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences invites all interested parties to visit the university grounds. The Kleve campus will open its doors on 21 May 2016 from 11 am to 5 pm to school pupils, friends and supporters of Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences, as well as any members of the public who are interested. The Kamp-Lintfort campus will also welcome visitors on 21 May 2016 from 11 am to 5 pm. Both campuses invite visitors not only to visit Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences, but also to experience it first-hand through various activities and practical exercises in the laboratories.
A varied programme for young and old alike awaits all those interested. The university will showcase its faculties, range of degree programmes and research. In short talks, lecturers will present the current degree programmes. Staff from the Student Advisory Service will be on hand to answer any questions regarding studying at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences. Everyone can get a taste of university life, take a look at the lecture theatres, the canteen, the technical halls, the laboratories, the library or the Language Centre, and discover what else the university has to offer. Whilst the little ones can enjoy hands-on experiments at the ‘Haus der kleinen Forscher’ in the zdi centres, the faculties, the Research Centre and the Language Centre will be offering an exciting and varied programme of hands-on activities.
Once again, Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences’ Open Day at the Kleve campus will take place alongside the City of Kleve’s ‘Schwanenritter Race’ on the Spoy Canal – an event for the whole family. Inspired by the legend of the Swan Knight, the various teams will once again be challenged to build their own boats from the materials provided, before competing in the race along the Spoy Canal.
