A compass rather than complexity – key criteria for healthy working practices

Just how healthy is a company’s financial position – and where is there room for improvement? In a practice-oriented research project, students at the examined this key question.

Awareness of workplace health management has already taken hold in many organisations. However, there is often a lack of guidance when it comes to putting it into practice. Many organisations are therefore seeking targeted support – particularly with regard to the introduction and structured development of health initiatives.

As part of a research project, students on the Master’s programme in Health Sciences and Management, in collaboration with AOK NordWest, have now developed a catalogue of guiding criteria. This tool enables companies to systematically assess the current state of their health management and to develop it further in a targeted manner.

In future, the catalogue can be used by AOK NordWest’s practical advisory service as a valuable tool for strengthening workplace health management. This not only benefits the companies themselves but, above all, improves the health of their staff – something the students are also delighted about.
