Fees & Payment

Use of Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences library is generally free of charge. However, charges may apply if the loan period is exceeded or for certain library services. The Schedule of Fees and Charges dated 30 January 2025 applies.

You can usually pay any charges incurred by debit card at the information desk during service hours.

If your outstanding fees reach €25.00 or more, your library account will be automatically suspended. You will only be able to borrow items, renew loans and use library services again once the fees have been paid.

Have you missed the loan return date? The following late return charges may apply:

up to 20 calendar days	€5.00
up to 30 calendar days	€10.00
up to 40 calendar days	€15.00

You are responsible for adhering to the loan periods and returning items and keys on time. Please therefore check your library account in the PLUS catalogue regularly. You can usually renew overdue items and keys here.

If the loan period is exceeded by more than 40 calendar days, the library is entitled to replace the item at your expense and to charge a corresponding processing fee of €10 per transaction.
