In the 2018 summer term, Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences is once again offering residents of Kleve and Kamp-Lintfort the opportunity to attend regular lectures, thereby providing them with the chance to further their education in specific fields of study.
Once again this term, Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences is opening its lecture theatres to guest students. Open-minded and practice-oriented lectures await those with a thirst for knowledge who wish to further their education in a specific subject area. The courses are taught in German or English across the various degree programmes offered by the three faculties on the Kleve campus and the Faculty of Communication and Environment on the Kamp-Lintfort campus.
The Faculty of Technology and Bionics on the Kleve campus focuses primarily on technical topics in its lectures, such as ‘Applied Mathematics’, ‘Empirical Research Methodologies’, ‘Thermodynamics of Gas and Vapour Power Systems’ or ‘Advanced Programming’, but also covers aspects of science communication. In addition to more traditional subjects such as business administration and economics, the Faculty of Life Sciences also covers ‘Biology of Plant-Based Foods’, ‘Environmental Law’ and ‘Hygiene and Cleaning Processes’. The third faculty on the Kleve campus – Society and Economics – focuses in particular on the topics of ‘Controlling and Risk Management’, ‘Human Resource Management’, ‘Intercultural Management’, ‘International Taxation’ and ‘International Affairs’ in its lectures.
At the Faculty of Communication and Environment on the Kamp-Lintfort Campus, the following lectures, amongst others, are available: ‘Administrative and Business Processes’, ‘Media Concepts and Design’, ‘IT Security’, ‘General Psychology’ and ‘Business Information Systems’. In addition, a range of other fascinating topics are covered, such as ‘The Water Cycle and Water Management’, ‘Toxicology and Environmental Health’, ‘Culture and Diversity’ and ‘Business Ethics’.

The guest student card costs 100 euros and is valid for attending open lectures during the summer semester from April 2018 to July 2018.
