For her final-year dissertation, ‘Detecting bearing damage on flatness measuring rollers during ongoing temper mill operation’, written in collaboration with thyssenkrupp Rasselstein GmbH, Swheta Sood received the 2025 Business University Award from the Koblenz Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK). The graduate studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the Faculty of Technology and Bionics and focused her bachelor’s thesis on the detection of bearing damage during ongoing operation. The method she developed improves production at the rolling mill.
