We offer

Individual workplaces

For quiet study and work use the workplaces in the reading room at the back of the library.

Individual study rooms

4 PC-equipped study rooms can be booked for quiet work. HSRW students writing their final thesis can also reserve them on a weekly basis, including a key.

Media

You will find printed resources relevant to your studies at HSRW on site. You can also access digital resources in the library on your own laptop or on one of the library’s computers.

Book scanner

Using the book scanner at the back of the library, you can scan books in high quality and easily send them to your smartphone.

Wi-Fi

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the library via Freifunk or Eduroam.

Collab space

A large room on the left-hand side of the library provides workplaces for small groups, designed to encourage collaborative learning, discussions about course content and the exchange of ideas.

Parent-child room

Parents with children always take priority over other users here, even if the room has already been booked by someone else. If there is space available, you can book the room as a group study room.

Information desk

You can get information on how to use the library at the information desk. This is also where you can borrow and return interlibrary loans, special-format items and items from the Library of Things.

Copying machines

There are 2 copying machines available in a room at the front of the library for scanning, photocopying and printing. The machine for purchasing the necessary copy cards is located nearby.

Group study rooms

A total of 4 group study rooms are available for HSRW students to book for undisturbed group work involving large groups of up to 6 people.

Computer workplaces

A total of 4 individual study rooms available for booking are equipped with library computers. The PCs come with software pre-installed to support students’ work.

Research computer

Next to the information desk, you will find a computer for research in Katalog PLUS. Here you can search the collection and use the call numbers to locate the book directly on the shelf.

Screen reader

On request, people with visual impairments can use the "Merlin Elite Pro" screen reader in the library. The device has a magnification and text-to-speech function.

Booking a room with anny

It’s easy to book a room in the library online, either for yourself or for your work group!

Use the flexible booking option for periods ranging from 30 minutes to 6 hours, or opt for a full-day booking.

Individual study rooms and parent-child rooms can also be booked on a weekly basis, subject to certain conditions.
