We offer

Individual workplaces

For quiet study use the reading rooms on the 3rd to 6th floors. On the 6th floor, sound-absorbing table partitions have been installed to help you concentrate even better and work undisturbed.

Inidividual study rooms

The 8 PC-equipped study rooms can be booked for quiet work. HSRW students writing their final thesis can also reserve them on a weekly basis, including a key.

Media

You will find printed resources relevant to your studies at HSRW on site. You can also access digital resources in the library on your own laptop or on one of the library’s computers.

Lounge

There are comfortable sofas and chairs on the ground floor available for study breaks. Here, you are welcome to eat, drink, make phone calls and chat (in a reasonable manner).

Book scanner

Using the book scanner in the copy room on the ground floor, you can scan books in high quality and easily send them to your smartphone.

Collab spaces

2 large rooms on the ground and 2nd floor provide workplaces for small groups, designed to encourage collaborative learning, discussions about course content and the exchange of ideas.

Parent-child room

Parents with children always take priority over other users here, even if the room has already been booked by someone else. If there is space available, you can book the room as individual study room.

Information desk

You can get information on how to use the library at the information desk. This is also where you can borrow and return interlibrary loans, special-format items and items from the Library of Things.

Copying machines

There are 2 copying machines on the ground floor for scanning, photocopying and printing. The machine for purchasing the necessary copy cards is located nearby.

Wi-Fi

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the library via Freifunk or Eduroam.

Group study rooms

3 group study rooms on the 2nd and 4th floors can be booked by HSRW students for undisturbed group work by large groups of up to 10 people.

Computer workplaces

There are workplaces with library computers in the training room on the ground floor and on the 6th floor. The PCs have software pre-installed to support students’ work.

Research computers

On the floors on the 2nd to 5th floors, you will find computers for searching in Katalog PLUS. Here you can search the collection and use the call numbers to locate the book directly on the shelf.

Screen reader

On request, people with visual impairments can use the "Merlin Elite Pro" screen reader in the library. The device has a magnification and text-to-speech function.
