The series of events will continue on 29 October 2019 at 7 pm with a talk entitled ‘The healthcare sector in the Lower Rhine region – growth versus meeting demand against the backdrop of demographic change’.
Demand for healthcare services is rising steadily across all sectors of the healthcare industry. In the Lower Rhine region, too, it is becoming increasingly difficult to meet demand with the necessary specialist staff. The speakers will focus in particular on the following questions: How can the current situation be described, what are the prospects, and what might solutions for meeting demand look like? This will be examined across various sectors of the healthcare industry.
The event will take place at the Kleve Campus of Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences, Marie-Curie-Straße 1, Lecture Theatre Centre, ground floor, Room 01 EG 010 (Audimax).
The lecture forms part of the Studium Generale programme and has been designed to make academic research accessible through lectures that are easy for the general public to understand. The lecture programme is aimed at the general public, students, school pupils and anyone in the region with an interest in science, as well as professors and staff at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences, with a focus on general, universal education. The lecture series also provides a platform for lively exchange and discussion on current issues.
