And the winner is…
The “Sustainable Potted Plant Cultivation in North Rhine-Westphalia” working group, of which Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences is a member, has set itself the task of developing a strategy for the cultivation and marketing of sustainable potted plants in North Rhine-Westphalia. The sub-project ‘Sustainability in Horticulture – the first holistic approach’, which forms part of the joint research project, has now won the 2019 TASPO Award in the ‘Best Cooperation of the Year’ category. The award was presented at the end of October during a gala event at the Grand Hyatt Berlin. On behalf of the university, Dr Dagmar Mithöfer – former Professor of Agribusiness at Rhein Waal University of Applied Sciences and, since October, Professor of Agricultural Value Chain Management at Humboldt University in Berlin – accepted the award.
This marks the 14th time that TASPO, the leading trade publication for the horticultural sector, has honoured outstanding ideas and individuals in its field. Innovations and new initiatives are recognised across a total of 18 different categories. The jury comprises renowned figures from the horticultural sector and related fields.
