Start-up Week Germany 2020

Once again this year, Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences is actively taking part in Germany’s largest campaign to promote entrepreneurship and the start-up spirit: Start-up Week Germany will take place from 16 to 20 November 2020.

The aim of the action week is to inspire young people to think and act entrepreneurially, to develop the relevant skills, to stimulate creativity, and to facilitate an exchange of ideas, experiences and opinions on the subject of start-ups and self-employment.

As part of the StartGlocal – Global Spirit for Local Start-ups project, the Centre for Research, Innovation and Transfer at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences (ZFIT) is offering a comprehensive programme of virtual events on the topics of entrepreneurship, innovation and creativity. Academic staff and professors from the university were also involved in designing the programme. The interactive online workshops cover a wide range of topics – from start-up coaching and the development of business models to creating the perfect social media presence. Among other things, the programme includes a start-up coaching session (on 17 November 2020), a workshop on ‘How do I design a logo for my start-up?’ (on 18 November 2020) and the interactive ‘Pressure Cooker Day’ (on 20 November 2020).

Creative minds and those interested in setting up a business will not only have the opportunity to gain new experiences and fresh inspiration; through personalised advisory services, participants can present their ideas to ensure a promising start to their start-up phase. The online workshops are open to students, alumni and staff at Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences, as well as to members of the public who are interested. Please register by 11 November at www.startglocal.de.

The “StartGlocal – Global Spirit for Local Start-ups” project is funded as part of the EXIST programme by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and the European Social Fund. For further information, please contact startglocal@hochschule-rhein-waal.de or www.startglocal.de.
