For the first time, the Faculties of Life Sciences and Technology and Bionics held an online graduation ceremony for their graduates. Over 80 former Bachelor’s and Master’s students from both faculties took part in the ‘Virtual Graduation Ceremony’.
Over 80 former Bachelor’s and Master’s students from both faculties took part in the ‘Virtual Graduation Ceremony’. The ceremony was streamed live from the university’s main lecture theatre, enabling graduates abroad to watch it too.
The event was hosted by Professor Dr Peter Simon from the Faculty of Life Sciences and Professor Dr William Megill from the Faculty of Technology and Bionics; they were supported behind the scenes by a team of staff and student assistants. The deans and programme directors of the 16 degree programmes also delivered virtual messages of congratulations to the successful graduates.
Professor Dr Dirk Bockmühl and Professor Dr Florian Wichern provided musical entertainment for the evening. Following the ceremony, the graduates continued their celebrations virtually.
