Following the successful launch in September this year, the Faculty of Technology and Bionics will now be presenting itself at the second “University–Industry Transfer Meeting”.
Following its successful launch in September this year, the Faculty of Technology and Bionics will now be presenting itself at the second ‘University–Business Transfer Meeting’. The aim of the meeting is to give regional businesses and associations the opportunity to get to know the university and its faculties better. The University of Applied Sciences Rhine-Waal attaches great importance to dialogue with regional businesses, associations and organisations. “As a university of applied sciences, we want to promote the transfer of knowledge in order to address issues facing business and society and to develop solutions in partnership. At the same time, we want to translate the latest research findings into innovations. We want to make our specialist expertise – through our academics and graduates, but also through our excellent technical facilities – available to our partners,” says the President of the Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences, on whose initiative the series of events was launched.
Drawing on ongoing projects, members of the university staff present various examples of collaboration between the university and industry within the Faculty of Technology and Bionics and outline avenues for potential cooperation. Furthermore, the Faculty informs representatives from the regional business community about the range of degree programmes it offers and the knowledge and skills that graduates bring to the table as qualified professionals. The focus is on the fields of mechanical engineering and electrical engineering. The faculty’s dual study programme also presents an opportunity for collaboration, through which companies can work with Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences to train skilled workers and retain them in the region. Finally, visitors will be shown the state-of-the-art technology hall, the laboratories and their potential applications. There will also be an opportunity to speak to lecturers, staff and students.
The event will take place at the Faculty of Technology and Bionics on the Kleve campus of Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences, Building 7, Technology Hall, Marie-Curie-Str. 1, 47533 Kleve.
