From 23 to 26 November 2016, the Kleve Model United Nations (KleMUN) conference will take place at Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences for the fourth time.

Building Bridges for Equality
This year’s conference is themed ‘Building Bridges for Equality’. This conference is a student-organised United Nations simulation.
The expected participants will take on the roles of diplomats and be at the heart of the negotiations. Over four days, debates will take place in various committees, with the aim of successfully reaching a resolution. The language of negotiation is English. The delegates will seek to find solutions to a wide range of global issues. One topic to be addressed by the Security Council during the KleMUN conference, for example, is the peace process in the Middle East. Other topics to be discussed at the conference include sustainable consumption, the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people, urbanisation as a cause of poverty, and civil protection during the civil war in South Sudan.
In addition to students, interested members of the public are also warmly invited to attend the conference as guests.
