Business Meets Society – An engaging series of lectures on current affairs organised by the Faculty of Society and Economics at the Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences campus in Kleve
This year’s Wednesday Academy is being held under the theme ‘Business Meets Society – A Series of Lectures on Current Affairs’. Kicking off the second half of the lecture series following the summer break will be Prof. Dr Dirk Reiser, Professor of Sustainable Tourism Management, on 28 September 2016 with a lecture entitled ‘Zoos and Tourism: Contact with Nature or Voyeurism?’
Kleve/Kamp-Lintfort, 21 September 2016: The Faculty of Society and Economics at the Kleve campus is presenting a programme under the theme ‘Business Meets Society’. The lecture evenings will address current affairs, examine them from a theoretical perspective and discuss them in a large group setting. Various speakers from the worlds of academia and business will present the latest research findings and practical analyses in their talks, thereby bridging the gap between theory and practice.
In addition to political science topics, such as ‘The Refugee Crisis and the European Union: Analysis and Perspectives’, the programme also includes lectures on business management, for example on the digital revolution in our society and economy, as well as social science aspects on the theme of ‘Masters of Time’.
Through this lecture series, the Faculty of Society and Economics at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences aims to encourage students, lecturers and, above all, the interested public to engage in joint reflection on issues relevant to society. The Faculty cordially invites you to the events, which take place at 6 pm on the Kleve campus, Marie-Curie-Straße 1, Building 2, Room 02 EG 012 (Seminar Room 4). Attendance is free of charge and open to all interested parties. No advance registration is required.
