At the invitation of the university president, Dr Heide Naderer, the Pakistani Ambassador, Jauhar Saleem, visited the Kleve campus of Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences on 31 May 2016. He gave a lecture to students and academic staff from the Faculty of Society and Economics on the political and economic relations between Pakistan and the European Union. This was followed by a discussion with the students on Pakistan’s role in the fight against international terrorism, which provided a fascinating insight into the wide-ranging duties of an ambassador.
