The participants in Girls’ Day were given an in-depth insight into the laboratory where the brain-computer interface projects BCI@home and M³S are being carried out. Prof. Ivan Volosyak (second from the left), head of the project, and his team explained to the interested schoolgirls how communication systems are operated using brain activity. Naturally, the girls were able to try out the equipment for themselves and have a go at spelling using brain activity; they were also given the chance to immerse themselves in virtual reality. At the end of the event, each participant received a certificate.
