Once again this year, Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences is actively taking part in Germany’s largest campaign to promote entrepreneurship and the start-up spirit: Start-up Week Germany will take place from 12 to 18 November 2018. The aim of the campaign week is to inspire young people to think and act entrepreneurially, to develop the relevant skills, to stimulate creativity, and to facilitate an exchange of ideas, experiences and opinions on the topics of start-ups and self-employment.
As part of the Lower Rhine Innovation and Start-up Initiative (IGNI) project, the Centre for Research, Innovation and Transfer at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences (ZFIT) is offering a comprehensive programme of events on the topics of entrepreneurship, innovation and creativity. Academic staff and professors from the university were also involved in designing the programme. The interactive workshops cover a wide range of topics – from the key factors for a successful pitch to the financial aspects of starting a business and effective self-marketing. Among other things, the programme includes a start-up coaching session (on 12 November 2018), insights into starting a business from a bank’s perspective and the workshop ‘Business Etiquette – Make it in Germany’ (both on 13 November 2018), as well as the interactive ‘Pressure Cooker Day’ (on 16 November 2018).
Creative minds and those interested in starting a business will not only have the opportunity to gain new experiences and fresh inspiration; through personalised advisory services, participants can present their ideas to ensure a promising start to their start-up phase. The workshops are open to students and research staff, as well as interested members of the public. Please register by email by 7 November at innovation@hochschule-rhein-waal.de.
