Welcome event for first-year students at Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences (News)

Once again, there was a large turnout at the welcome event for first-year students. At the Kleve campus, Prof. Dr Georg Hauck, Vice-President for Human Resources and Organisational Development, Diversity, welcomed the students in the Audimax on the Kamp-Lintfort campus, whilst at the Kleve campus, Prof. Dr Marion Halfmann, Vice-President for Studies, Teaching and Continuing Education, welcomed the new students.

Studying at Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences is a good decision and a major step towards the future. The university is a vibrant institution with many different cultures and a strong sense of diversity. Both members of the Executive Board emphasised how important it is, therefore, for students to treat one another with mutual respect and always act fairly towards each other. They also encouraged the ‘newcomers’ to get actively involved in university life. In this way, they said, students could play an active part in shaping the university’s international outlook whilst at the same time gaining valuable experience for their future – a point on which both campuses agreed in their welcome speeches. 

Afterwards, the students could look forward to an induction week packed with numerous activities, events and information stands. A warm welcome to Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences!
