Students looking for accommodation

In the university towns of Kleve and Kamp-Lintfort, too, the supply of student accommodation is under strain due to rising student numbers. As a result, Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences is urgently seeking accommodation for its new students and is assisting landlords in finding tenants.

Kleve/Kamp-Lintfort, 7 September 2015: “We urgently need support from the local community in our search for rooms, flats and apartments for shared accommodation for our students,” says Dr Heide Naderer, President of Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences. Landlords are asked to make a greater effort to register accommodation in Kleve and Kamp-Lintfort, as well as in the surrounding area near Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences, and to make it available to students. Furnished flats that already have basic amenities, such as cooking facilities and a washing machine, are particularly important for new students.

There is already strong demand for rooms or flats from first-year students at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences, and a further increase is expected with the start of the winter semester in mid-September. This is because the university anticipates a continued rise in student numbers.

Interested landlords are asked to complete a form on the Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences website and then send their property listings to the email address wohnung@hochschule-rhein-waal.de.
