Farewell ceremony for the vice-presidents


The Vice-President for Student Affairs, Teaching and Continuing Education, Prof. Dr Anja Freifrau von Richthofen, and the Vice-President for Research and Development, Prof. Dr Peter Scholz, were given a ceremonial send-off as they stepped down from their posts as part-time vice-presidents.

Kleve/Kamp-Lintfort, 3 September 2015: In the presence of the Senate, the Centre for Research, Innovation and Transfer, and the Academic Centre of Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences on the Kamp-Lintfort campus, Prof. Dr Gerard J.M. Meijer, President of Radboud University Nijmegen and Chair of the University Council of Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences, Vice-Presidents Prof. Dr Anja Freifrau von Richthofen and Prof. Dr Peter Scholz for their dedicated commitment and long-standing contribution to the development of Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences in the early years following its foundation.

The President of Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences, Dr Heide Naderer, thanked the two outgoing Vice-Presidents and, together with the Vice-President for Financial and Human Resources Management, Bibiana Kemner, presented them with a gift as a token of appreciation. “Your tremendous dedication played a decisive role in shaping and helping to build Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences following its foundation in 2009. On behalf of Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences, I would like to thank you most sincerely for your brief yet trusting support and cooperation,” said the university’s President, Dr Heide Naderer.

Prof. Dr Anja Freifrau von Richthofen, previously Vice-President for Studies, Teaching and Continuing Education, will continue to serve as Professor of Personnel and Organisational Psychology at Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences in the Faculty of Communication and Environment.

Prof. Dr Peter Scholz, previously Vice-President for Research and Development, will also remain a professor at Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences. He teaches and conducts research at the Faculty of Life Sciences as a professor of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Analytics.
