The University’s Friends’ Association fulfils President Klotz’s special request:

Kleve District – The Friends of Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences – Cleve Campus e.V. keeps the AStA on the move. During the recent annual general meeting of the Friends’ Association – which now has 266 members – Campus Chair Peter Wack, flanked by members and guests at Rindern Water Castle, handed over a brand-new Smart forfour.

“Yet another fantastic gesture from the Campus Cleve Friends’ Association,” said Klotz. At the end of January, the president had raised the need for the vehicle with Campus Cleve’s managing director, Hans-Josef Kuypers; it will be used by the General Students’ Committee (AStA) for journeys between the Kleve and Kamp-Lintfort campuses. For several years now, the Friends’ Association has been supporting the AStA’s transport needs in this way. Mercedes Herbrand had previously provided a new A-Class on two separate occasions, thereby resolving transport bottlenecks for a total of four years. “We cannot praise this gesture by Mercedes Herbrand highly enough,” said Kuypers, expressing his gratitude to the company, which also operates in Kleve. A financially attractive 36-month lease agreement has now been concluded for the new Smart forfour – also from the manufacturer with the star logo.
