Choosing a degree course presents many people with major challenges. To ensure that a decision does not have to be made on the spur of the moment and without proper information, it is worth taking advantage of the guidance and support available for choosing a degree course at an early stage.
The application period for degree programmes starting in the 2017/2018 winter semester is currently open. Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences has also opened its application portal: applications for Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programmes can be submitted until 15 July 2017.
For prospective students who are still in the early stages of deciding whether to study and which course is right for them, Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences offers study orientation workshops.
The next workshop will take place on Saturday 24 June 2017 from 10.30 am to 3.00 pm in Kleve and Kamp-Lintfort. This event offers prospective students the opportunity to reflect on their own decision-making process and to learn about initial strategies for gathering information and making decisions. The workshop provides guidance on how to evaluate this information in light of one’s own interests and sets out criteria that can be usefully applied when choosing a degree programme. Participants will also have the opportunity to exchange views with other prospective students and thereby gain further information.
Please note: As this workshop aims to strengthen self-management skills and provide general information, the range of degree programmes offered by Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences will not be presented in detail. Prospective students who are already further along in their decision-making process or who are interested in a specific degree programme at the university are invited to arrange an appointment with the advisers at the Central Student Advisory Service and to take part in the university’s other information sessions.
Participation in the study orientation workshop is free of charge. However, as places are limited, registration is required.
