The series of events will continue on 3 December 2019 at 7.00 pm with a talk entitled ‘Growth in the Internet of Things – How connected devices are increasingly shaping our everyday lives’.
The Internet of Things is on everyone’s lips. But what exactly is it, what is it based on, what benefits does it offer, and how will it change our lives? This short talk will explore these questions using examples and highlight anticipated developments. A practical example from the agricultural sector in Argentina will illustrate where the opportunities for this technology lie.
The event will take place at the Kleve campus of Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences, Marie-Curie-Straße 1, Lecture Theatre Centre, ground floor, Room 01 EG 005 (Lecture Theatre 01).
The lecture is part of the Studium Generale programme and has been designed to make science accessible through lectures that are easy for everyone to understand. The lecture programme is aimed at the general public, students, school pupils and anyone in the region with an interest in science, as well as lecturers and staff at Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences, with a focus on general, universal education. The lecture series also provides a platform for lively exchange and discussion on current issues.
