On Friday, 11 September 2026, Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences, in collaboration with the town of Kamp-Lintfort and the North Rhine-Westphalia Consumer Advice Centre, is hosting a Solar Action Day on the Kamp-Lintfort campus from 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm.
This free, family-friendly information event is aimed at people of all ages who would like to find out more about photovoltaics, solar energy and the energy transition. The focus will be on practical information, personalised advice and the chance to try out various hands-on activities.
Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the use of photovoltaics from the Consumer Advice Centre and from volunteer solar advisors. Among other things, the solar potential of their own roof space can be assessed, and the various options for using solar energy can be demonstrated.
Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences will be presenting its interactive solar station, where guests of all ages can learn how solar energy works in a fun and hands-on way. There will also be a wheel of fortune with small prizes for children.
In addition, regional companies are invited to present innovative products, technologies and practical examples from the field of solar energy, enabling direct dialogue with members of the public.
The Solar Action Day aims to spark enthusiasm for renewable energy, break down barriers to adoption and raise energy awareness in the region.
