An overview of the application process
The process for undertaking an exchange semester at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences involves three steps:
1. Selection at the home university
Students first apply to their home university for an exchange programme.
2. Nomination by the partner university
The home university officially nominates the selected students to Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences.
3. Application to HSRW
Following nomination, students receive all the information they need to apply via the Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences’ online portal.
This process ensures that the exchange takes place within the framework of existing partnerships between the universities.
Note for students
: If you are interested in spending a semester abroad at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences, please contact the International Office at your home university first. They will be able to provide you with information on available places and application deadlines.
Nomination by the partner university
Nominations for exchange students are made by email by the International Office of the partner university.
Please send the nomination with the following details:
- full name
- Gender
- Degree programme at the home university
- Email address
- Planned exchange period (summer or Winter semester, maximum of two semesters)
Once we have received the nomination, we will contact the nominated students directly and guide them through the rest of the application process.
