Berlin, Berlin, we’re off to Berlin: Following their victory in the semi-finals of Ernst & Young’s (EY) ‘TaxChallenge’ in Düsseldorf, the successful team from the ‘International Taxation and Law’ degree programme at Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences is heading to the capital for the final.
The “International Taxation and Law” degree programme and its programme director, Prof. Dr Ralf Klapdor, are delighted with this recognition, which reflects the high quality of the degree programme at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences. In the semi-finals, three out of seven teams represented Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences, placing them amongst the top 30 per cent in the West region. Now everyone is keeping their fingers crossed for the winning team, comprising students Anatolij Betz, Ghayoor Khan, Gowsaliyan Sooriyakumaran and Samuel Velummylum. The four will have to compete against seven other teams in Berlin from 14 to 16 December. As a reward, alongside fame and glory, travel vouchers worth €5,000 for first place, €2,500 for second and €1,250 for third are up for grabs.
