The next participants we would like to introduce as part of our series on the ‘Best Idea Cup 2019’ are Oana Dorobantu, Aylin Klisura and Zama Madondo. These three students have developed an academic podcast called ‘Spill the Thesis’.
“Spill the Thesis” is a podcast designed to make scientific and academic topics accessible to the general public and to make knowledge more widely available. The era of globalisation and the rapid exchange of information inspired the women behind the project to make knowledge more widely accessible. Every year, numerous specialist theses and doctoral dissertations are written, though their reach is often limited to other university graduates and academics.
The podcast episodes are peer-reviewed and provide listeners with sufficient background information in the introduction to enable them to follow the scholarly discussions. “Spill the Thesis” not only facilitates the transfer of knowledge for personal and professional purposes, but also generates new ideas.
The “Spill the Thesis” team is currently applying for the NRW Start-up Grant.
