Fayas Jawfer is the next founder to be nominated for the ‘Best Idea Cup 2019’. The student has developed an online platform for students who enjoy cooking and sharing food – Bread2Bun.
Bread2Bun is designed to act as a matching platform. Once they have created a personal profile, users can share information about their favourite dishes or traditional dishes from their home country with other amateur chefs. The aim is to bring people from different cultures and countries together through their shared passion for cooking.
In addition to a premium account, which provides unlimited access to all the recipes on the website, there will be targeted advertising. Registered students will be shown relevant offers in their local area – for example, discounts specifically for students in supermarkets or other food shops.
Jawfer is currently working with the Food Hub NRW accelerator to further develop its app.
Bread2Bun is designed not only to facilitate culinary exchange, but also to help bring people into personal contact with one another.
