Once again this year, the Rhein-Waal University Sports Association enabled 106 students to take part in the St Nicholas Tournament in Münster. They competed against other university sports teams in six different sports. The St Nicholas Tournament brings together teams from all over Germany and the Netherlands.
Whilst competing against one another in a total of ten sports, the focus is on enjoying sport and forging links with other universities. This was also confirmed by the nine participating teams and three badminton doubles pairs from Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences, who had a fantastic tournament. The students were also successful on the court: The basketball team were delighted to finish in 3rd place, whilst the badminton doubles pairs took 2nd, 3rd and 4th places. The Ultimate Frisbee team won over the crowd with their fair play and friendly manner, securing the ‘good spirit’ award. Congratulations to all the teams.
