The new President of Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences, Dr Heide Naderer, visited the Borken District Office on her first official visit.
At the university’s two campuses in Kleve and Kamp-Lintfort, more than 6,000 students are now enrolled on 25 Bachelor’s and 10 Master’s programmes across the faculties of Technology and Bionics, Life Sciences, Society and Economics, and Communication and Environment. In particular, the President highlighted the university’s strong commitment to collaborating with businesses, its applied research, and the international and interdisciplinary focus of the university and its degree programmes. The strong links with the business community offer numerous opportunities for both businesses and the university. The President also identified further potential in the region and called for the exchange of information and the exploration of opportunities for cooperation – including those that complement the programmes offered by the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences in Bocholt. District Administrator Dr Kai Zwicker emphasised that he was looking forward to further dialogue and potential collaborations.
