For the mentoring programme, the university is looking for local residents who would like to help students settle into their new home. Interested members of the public are invited to attend an information session on 14 June 2018 at the Kamp-Lintfort campus.
We are once again looking for mentors or ‘locals’ (residents) who would like to help students feel at home in their new surroundings. Students from abroad, in particular, look forward to this form of support, as language is usually not the only issue they face. Cultural differences can also present a challenge for them.
However, it is entirely up to the mentors themselves to decide what they can and wish to offer in their role as advisers. Both the students and the university are grateful for any kind of support.
To give everyone the chance to get to know one another and exchange ideas, an information session will take place on 14 June 2018 at 6.00 pm on the Kamp-Lintfort campus of Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences, Friedrich-Heinrich-Allee 25, 47475 Kamp-Lintfort, in the canteen, Building 04, ground floor. Admission is free. Registrations can be made via the email address locals4students@hochschule-rhein-waal.de. Refreshments will, of course, be provided.
