Under the slogan “Hey, we’re doing something with data”, the City of Moers is organising an Open Data Hackday for the second time in collaboration with the Bertelsmann Foundation from 9 to 10 April 2016.
Kleve/Kamp-Lintfort, 21 March 2016. As part of the Lower Rhine Hackday organised by the City of Moers and the Bertelsmann Foundation, interested participants will learn how to develop interesting applications using freely accessible data, known as open-source data. One project proposal, for example, is the development of a real-time parking guidance system. This app or website could make it easier for motorists to find available parking spaces.
The “Rocket Girls – Build your first Open Data application” workshop is particularly exciting. This workshop is aimed primarily at interested women and girls from Year 10 onwards. During the workshop, participants will learn what open data actually is and how it can be used.
