Ombudsmen and Ombudswomen
Two ombudspersons are available as independent points of contact for researchers and students: Prof. Dr Kerstin Koch and, as her deputy, Prof. Dr Nele Wild-Wall. They are independent points of contact for questions regarding ethical principles, plagiarism, research misconduct and other aspects of good academic practice. The ombudspersons take into account the interests of all parties involved and mediate in cases of research misconduct.
In the case of examination work (e.g. term papers or seminar papers, Bachelor’s or Master’s theses), the responsibility for investigating any misconduct lies with the examination board.
