Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences welcomes all new students for the 2022/23 winter semester. On the following pages, first-year students will find everything they need to know to get started with their studies, including information on central facilities and services such as the Student Advisory Service and the International Centre, as well as details of the events taking place during Freshers’ Week from 19 to 23 September 2022.

Hello, first-year students,

A warm welcome to Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences! We’re delighted to have you here!

Before you begin your studies, we’d like to provide you with all the important information you need to get off to a flying start.

You’ll get your first real insight at the official freshers’ welcome on Monday 19 September 2022 from 12.30 pm, to which we warmly invite you! Here, you’ll get to know the key contacts at the Central Student Advisory Service and the AStA (General Student Committee), as well as the university’s sports and music programmes. In addition, the university’s President, Dr Oliver Locker-Grütjen, and the mayors of Kleve and Kamp-Lintfort will be there to welcome you in person.

You are welcome to attend the event in person on campus or online if you are unable to attend in person:
