Online panel discussion on the topic ‘Peace and security – feminist spaces?’

The Working Group for Peace and Conflict Research, in collaboration with Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences, is organising an online panel discussion on the topic ‘Peace and Security – Feminist Spaces?’, to be held in English. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the event has been moved online, thereby offering the opportunity for the public to take part.

The panel discussion will focus on the following questions: Where and what are feminist spaces in politics and research when it comes to peace and security, and how can we succeed in bringing feminist theories more to the fore? Representatives from various political and academic institutions will discuss the relationship between feminist theories and political practice and research, and will highlight the necessity of gender equality and power analyses as fundamental prerequisites for peace.
