Last week, representatives of the Wesel branch of the DGB visited Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences for a meeting. The aim of this joint discussion with the university management is to expand Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences’ regional activities in Moers and Rheinberg, as well as to improve local public transport. From the trade union’s perspective, the university’s links with the business community and local companies are of particular interest, especially with regard to attracting new businesses to the area, the transfer of expertise from research into practice, and the provision of work-study programmes.
